Tasting Notes

The last grape harvested in the vineyard, producing a delightful nose with notes of blackberry jam, blueberry, spice and light tobacco. Perfectly structured on the palate with velvety tannins, aromas of roasted coffee, liquorice and cinnamon, this aromatic complexity carries on in the length.

We thought we could not bring more wines from this part of the Languedoc until we found this - the Petit Verdot. The grape, although originating from the South West, was also used in Bordeaux to bring some spice to the wines.

Since it tended to mature too late it has now been discarded by many Chateaux, but here in this warmer part of France there is no problem!
