Muscat Of Alexandria
Originating in the city of the same name in Egypt, Muscat de Alexandria today is the less-used of the two dominate Muscat grapes - however it can still be used to perfection.
Below are two fine examples of the Alexandria, one dry (Sec) and one sweet. One of the Muscats are harvested early before the natural sugars are fully developed and the other is harvested later when the sugars have reached maturity.

Muscat de Rivesaltes: Domaine BoudauFortified resulting in the tastiest and most appealing sweet wine made in the Roussillon, close to Perpignan. Nose with aromas of lemon, lemongrass, limoncello. The palate is fresh, tangy while retaining the deliciousness of the Muscat grain. The sweet aspect is easily forgotten as its taste is so compelling. A real pleasure.
