Julienas
The first vineyards to be planted in the Beaujolais region, some say this cru may have come from or was named after Julius Caesar himself! It is located to the north of the region, with 600 hectares of land at varying altitudes, obtaining it's AOC classification in 1938.
Juliénas wines are Fleurie-like in youth but are well-built and fleshier, with spicy and berry flavours, and aromas of violet, peach and strawberry.
